Is it being a great image in all the technical aspects: no noise, sharp as a tack, following the rule of thirds, etc?
Not really, those things help make a good image great but I think what makes a great photo is the ability to evoke emotion and capture memory.
Thus, I submit my not so technically great 100% snapshot baby Ian.
